Secondary Teacher and Data Systems Manager

This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional teacher and middle leader to join our school in a key position of Data Systems Manager. This role carries a 40% teaching timetable, and all subject specialisms will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Actively lead the data support team, ensuring the energetic and dedicated contributions of all staff

·        Co-ordinate the integration and ongoing development of relevant data, processes, and procedures into the school’s existing information management infrastructure

·        Manage and maintain the whole school assessment and tracking systems such as Target Tracker, SISRA and ClassCharts

·        Prepare the school timetable using EDVAL, supporting in-year changes and the production of student timetables for in-year starters

·        Oversee the development and administration of the school reporting system

·        Prepare clear and accurate whole school data for a variety of stakeholders

·        Liaise with senior and middle leaders on the interpretation of various data sets

·        Oversee the management and maintenance of the school information system (SIMS)

·        Strategically evaluate the timetabled provision to improve curriculum and academic opportunities for all students

·        Provide training and support for all data systems, including in-service training for new teachers

·        Oversee the academic calendar and work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure that meetings, events, trips, visits, and activities are appropriately planned for and communicated to all relevant parties

·        Collaborate with other data administrators/managers across QatarEnergy schools and be informed about the latest research and development in data systems

·        Develop standard operating procedures and best practices for student and staff policies, e.g., acceptable use agreements

Essential:

·        Qualified Teacher Status

·        Current knowledge of UK National Curriculum and AS and A level requirements

·        Experience of using formative assessment systems to evaluate the curriculum

·        A record of delivering strong CPD

·        A team player, able to foster trust and offer challenge to colleagues

·        Excellent communication skills

Desirable:

·        Experience as a middle leader either in the UK or internationally

·        A leadership qualification

·        Experience using visual analytics, e.g., PowerBi
