Job overview

St Charbel’s College, Punchbowl are seeking suitably qualified, energetic and enthusiastic people with commitment to the ethos of a Maronite Catholic School for the positions of Arabic Teacher. The successful applicants will need to have the ability to implement and evaluate current initiatives of curriculum and standards of framework, demonstrate a high level of communication with staff, parents and students and a proficiency for everyday learning.


About the Role:

  • Full-time, Temporary, 12-month contract
  • Commencing Term 1 2021

Selection Criteria:

  • Creating and using a range of teaching strategies to present prescribed material to students
  • Developing, selecting, and using a range of assessment strategies to assess student learning
  • Setting specific learning goals and providing ongoing feedback about students; learning goals
  • Evaluating teaching and learning programs using evidence, feedback from students and student assessment data, to inform further planning
  • Reporting clearly to students and parents/carers about student achievement
  • Ensuring the highest standards of student discipline and monitoring/improving the behaviour management system
  • Bachelor’s degree required in addition to 2 years relevant work experience.
