The applicant must be a passionate educationalist who has a desire to help young people reach their potential, especially through curriculum and program development which enables the holistic development of the individual. The incumbent will be required to maintain confidentialities, have a good rapport with adolescents, and participate fully as a member of the Faith Lutheran College staff team.

About Faith Lutheran College

Faith Lutheran College is a co-educational, Lutheran, independent school that serves students between the ages of 11 and 18 years old. Located in Lockyer Valley, between Ipswich and Toowoomba, Queensland, the college has around 700 enrolled students. The school was founded in 1999 at a Laidley campus with just 40 students across Years 8 and 9, and has since expanded to Years 7 to 12 at the current campus.

Faith Lutheran College prioritises maintaining modern, state-of-the-art facilities to enable students to get the best education possible. All students at the college have access to laptops and the internet.

Curriculum 

The curriculum at Faith Lutheran College is based on the the Queensland Curriculum Assessment Authority requirements while integrated with the Lutheran beliefs. Juniors at the school are required to study four core subjects: English, maths, science and humanities. Seniors follow a seven-line structure, with a Christian studies course compulsory throughout such years, as well as a maths and English subject requirement. In addition to the school’s core subjects, students are offered the opportunity to partake in a number of elective subjects in areas such as arts, home economics, IT and languages.

The college focuses on developing the whole person not only intellectually, but also personally, socially, spiritually, physically and emotionally.
