COMMENCING JANUARY 2019
BE PART OF AN AMAZING COMMUNITY
St Teresa’s College, Abergowrie is a Catholic secondary boy's boarding college. Located in an ideal rural setting in the heart of the Herbert River Valley, the College is approximately 30 km north west of Ingham and situated on Warrgamay land. The main industries are sugarcane, forestry, and cattle. Abergowrie is close to Wallaman Falls which is the highest single drop waterfall in Australia and the beautiful Broadwater National Park.
St Teresa's College, Abergowrie, has served the needs of families since 1933. There is a strong rural dimension to the College that has developed from pioneering days with the Christian Brothers, at the request of the then Bishop of Townsville, to provide a College that caters especially for boys from rural backgrounds.
The College has excelled over the last decade in supporting parents and communities to educate remote Indigenous Australian students from the Northern Territory, Cape York, the Torres Strait and even the southern Queensland area.
As a Catholic residential boarding College St Teresa's offers students, in partnership with their parents, a very complete and fulfilling educational experience.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified English Humanities Teachers, to join us in 2019.
We will offer relocation assistance to successful applicants and boarding accommodation subject to conditions. For more information about the College please follow this link - St Teresa's College, Abergowrie.
