We are looking for a teacher in French as a first language for a part-time position (60 percent) in lower secondary (secondary 1 to secondary 4), approx 14 lessons per week.
The position is for the school year 2020/2021 but may be prolonged.
Qualifications: Degree in French with documented experience in teaching French as a first language.

- Proven experience with teaching the relevant age group (age 11-15)

About the school
European School Copenhagen (ESCPH) is a public, international school under the Municipality of Copenhagen and the first of its kind in Denmark. The school is a department of the internationally renowned Sankt Annæ Gymnasium.
ESCPH opened in August 2014 with four primary classes in an English and a Danish language section. Today the school has 21 classes from grade 0-5 in primary and grade 1-3 in secondary in our Danish and English language sections and nursery, primary 1 and secondary 1 and 2 in our French language section.
In the coming school year, we will open a new French class in lower secondary and a Danish and English language section in upper secondary. When the school is fully phased in, the school will have nearly 1,000 pupils.
ESCPH is an accredited school within the established European School system and as such offers a European education combining the rigorous educational requirements for European Schools with Danish pedagogy and working guidelines.
The mission of the European Schools is to provide a multilingual and multicultural education for nursery, primary and secondary pupils. The European Schools have a strong focus on languages. Students learn a foreign language from primary 1 and will later be taught history and geography in their first foreign language. French is offered as both the mother tongue and as first and second foreign language from primary 1.
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with relevant collective agreements.

The European School Copenhagen is an accredited school under the internationally acknowledged system of European Schools, known for their high academic standards and declared mission to build bridges between cultures.
The school is co-educational and offers a multicultural and multilingual education for nursery, primary and secondary students, from age 5 through 19.
European Schools follow the curriculum of the European Schools system, with a strong focus on learning languages and science to a very high standard. The education leads to the internationally recognised European Baccalaureate (EB) diploma.
The school opened in 2014 and currently has around 850 pupils in nursery class to secondary 5 across three language sections - English, Danish and French. The school is still growing the French language section and will see the first Secondary 7 classes graduate in the summer of 2023. When the school is fully phased in, there will be close to 1,000 students at the school from nursery class to secondary 7.
At the completion of Secondary 7, successful students are awarded the European Baccalaureate diploma, which is an officially recognised entry qualification for higher education in all EU member states and many other countries.
Location
The school is located in the Carlsberg City district of Copenhagen, in a state-of-the-art school building completed in October 2018. The school is close to the city centre and near public transport. The exciting new learning environment includes teaching and practice rooms, an auditorium, sports hall and other facilities, including a canteen and production kitchen, where the children help with the preparation of healthy school lunches.
