About us

Opening in 2018, TTA is on a purpose-built campus located in an attractive green setting in a suburban area of Tropicana Aman, just outside of Kuala Lumpur. With currently 500+ students on role, age 3 -16 across primary and secondary, our vibrant and dynamic school continues to grow and has already fostered a happy atmosphere and strong sense of community.

Our primary school follows the National Curriculum for England, incorporating the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) thematic approach in teaching and learning activities. In our secondary school the National Curriculum for England is delivered at Key Stage 3 leading up to IGCSE. We offer a wide range of IGCSE subjects and are an accredited centre for CAIE, Oxford AQA and Edexcel.

As a teacher you will be a valued member of our school community supported by own leadership team and other learning clusters and networks, both regionally and globally. The school has access to a global Learning Hub.

We are seeking a dedicated, dynamic and highly committed Design & Technology teacher, with a high level of competency in digital technology skills to join us on our journey to becoming the first Microsoft Showcase School within the vicinity. If you are passionate about Design Thinking approaches with a keen interest in digitally enhanced makerspaces and are looking to make a difference to learners today who will lead tomorrow – we are the school of choice.  

You must have a track record in fostering a caring and supportive atmosphere and be a passionate educator dedicated to the well-being, social and academic progress of each student. You will have a real desire to make a significant contribution to the wider life of the school. 


The Role 

We are looking for someone who: 

  • Puts children at the heart of everything they do and cares about their well-being. 
  • Is passionate about Design & Technology and Information Technology and why it is important for young people to learn the skills and knowledge involved. 
  • Is willing to teach DT/IT to upper primary students (KS2).
  • Experience of AQA, Edexcel, CAIE examination boards is desirable. 
  • Is an inspiring teacher with a proven track record in making students better. 
  • Has an ability to teach all areas of National Curriculum for England Design Technology and IGCSE. 
  • Is willing to teach all areas of National Curriculum for England Computing/Information Communication Technology and IGCSE. 
  • Has knowledge of changes in the curriculum and experience of teaching GCSE Design and Technology and GCSE Information Communication Technology. 
  • Is a strong communicator, who is personable, caring and passionate with high expectations. 
  • Is committed to getting better through continued professional development and excited about leading others in getting better too. 
  • Is committed to safeguarding and sees the pastoral responsibilities of a teacher as central to everyone’s role.

Interviews 

Initial interviews will be completed through Microsoft Teams. Final interviews may be carried out face-to-face whenever possible.

Established in 1960, the TENBY SCHOOLS GROUP operates international and private schools in Malaysia; currently in Tropicana Aman, Shah Alam, Penang, Ipoh, Johor Bahru, and Semenyih.
