Secondary Teacher of English

Located in Madrid, Spain, Brains International Schools has been established for over 40 years, providing quality education for children aged 1 to 18 years. Ours is a school which prides itself on innovation, technology, sports and languages.

The school is bilingual (English/Spanish) at all stages, and follows the Spanish Curriculum in Lower Secondary, where we are in the process of implementing the IB Middle Years Programme. In Upper Secondary, we follow the IB Diploma Programme. Within Spain, the Brains International Schools Group is ranked among the top 20 schools, as well the top 100 companies to work for.

We are currently seeking  a temporary teacher of English for our Secondary English Department, to begin immediately. This vacancy has arisen because of a long-term absence due to illness.

All applicants should be :   

• Fluent English speakers   
• Fully qualified Secondary teacher, with certification from a recognised national body, preferably with  qualifications validated by the Spanish Department of Education, Culture and Sport.

Only applicants who hold full Spanish/EU work and residence staus will be considered for this post.

Experience in MYP/IBDP world schools, a knowledge of project based learning, the use of technology in the classroom and the ability to work as part of a large team, as well as a willingness to demonstrate versatility and positivity, are highly valued attributes in our school.

A knowledge of Spanish will be seen as advantageous but certainly not necessary.
