Founded in 1971 and opened as a family-oriented British School, it was one of the first of its kind in Madrid. Today, it is based on five sites in central Madrid and has nearly 1000 pupils.
Hastings School follows the National Curriculum for England and also teaches in Spanish the two compulsory subjects indicated by the Spanish Ministry of Education. The school follows a creative, topic curriculum in the Primary section based on stories from all over the world. In the Secondary section pupils prepare for IGCSE examinations, AS and A Levels within the British system as well as Spanish university examinations.
Hastings School is looking to appoint a full time Secondary Teacher of French from 1st September 2018. The ideal candidate will hold a minimum of a relevant degree in French and a UK approved PGCE. A minimum of 2 years experience teaching French to KS3, IGCSE and AS/A2 level is required with evidence of excellent exam outcomes. Bespoke semi-individualised tracking of students using baseline data to achieve outstanding outcomes and strong IT skills is a must.
