About The Secondary School

The Secondary School is dynamic, ambitious and rapidly growing! We currently have 350 students housed in a newly constructed building situated in a beautiful lakeside setting. Being personally, academically and socially ambitious, our students are an absolute delight and have a thirst for learning. About the role

We are seeking a teacher who has a Humanities related degree who is able to teach both Geography and History at KS3, and one subject to GCSE level.

  • In Key Stage 3, students study a double period of History per week and the same for Geography (except for those on our intensive EAL Programme).
  • In Key Stage 4 History, students follow the CIE Specification with the focus on ‘The 20th century: International Relations since 1919’. iGCSE Geography focuses on: Population and Settlement, The Natural Environment, Economic Development.
  • Both subjects are popular at A Level

There are currently four other members of the History/Geography Departments and the team share a dedicated office with the Business/Economics Teams.
