Smart Teachers is recruiting for experienced Secondary Teachers to take on Project Manager roles, designing and managing Safety and Citizenship projects, which are to be implemented within schools in London as part of the curriculum. 

The roles will involve updating and revamping existing programmes, bringing them in line with the current UK National Curriculum using research to provide relevant content and drawing upon teaching skills to look at ways to engage and enthuse students. 

The successful Secondary Teachers will then be involved in the roll out of this programme, liaising with schools in the London area and working closely with a team of presenters. The appointed Project Managers will be mainly office based at a Central London location. 

The ideal Secondary Teachers will have a thorough knowledge of the UK National Curriculum and experience working within the PSHE curriculum in secondary schools would be beneficial. These full time posts will start in June/July and run through the next academic year initially. There will be the opportunity for the candidates to continue work on the projects through school holidays when they are available.

In order to be considered for this role, the Secondary Teachers will need to meet the following criteria:

• Bachelor of Education / PGCE / or equivalent teaching degree with QTS

• Proven experience teaching the UK, or an equivalent, curriculum

• NQTs are welcome to apply

• Have strong communication, literacy and numeracy skills

• Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa)

• Recent classroom-based references and valid DBS/police checks
