| Essential Criteria | • Able to speak and teach Japanese. • Current NESA and Working With Children number must be recorded on application. • Be appropriately qualified as a four year trained secondary teacher. • Evidence of completion of Anaphylaxis training certificate must be supplied. (https://etraining.allergy.org.au/login/index.php) Note: To start or return to working as a teacher in a NSW school, you must be accredited by NESA. |

St Catherine’s was established as a K-12 school in 2000 and is unique in many respects: it is the only K-12 school in the Maitland-Newcastle Diocese and one of only a handful of K-12 systemic schools in NSW; it has a very close relationship with the Parish of St Patrick’s, Singleton and the Parish of St Brigid’s, Branxton, with an administration area shared by the School and Parish; the College is an integral part of the Parish, and parishioners participate in the many College activities; the College is also actively involved in the various parish ministries. Working closely with the Parish Priest, the principal is responsible for the leadership and overall direction of the school, consistent with Catholic teachings, principles and values and proven educational theory and practice.
