As the ‘Further Education College of the year 2019’, we have an exciting opportunity for someone to join us on a fixed term basis until August 2021 as a Security officer, reporting into the Occupational Health Safety and Security Manager.


This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly team, who are passionate about creating a warming and secure atmosphere whilst ensuring the safety of colleagues and students whilst on site.


As part of this role, you will be required to ensure the safety and security of all colleagues, students and visitors on site. You will be vigilant and have excellent awareness of the surroundings around you and monitor traffic in and out of the college, including checking and verifying visitor verification.


You will adhere to the college policy and comply with all of our relevant legislations and legal requirements, including fire regulations. You will also make sure that Covid-19 health and safety guidelines are met, including keeping in line with social distancing measures.


To be successful, you must hold a valid licence with the Security Industry Authority (SIA). You must also be able to demonstrate strength of character by being an excellent team player and being able to work well under pressure.  You will need excellent time management skills and be able to work independently using your own initiative.
