KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· To be comfortable with teaching from Year 1 to Year 8 as required
· To liaise with the Director of Music to promote the teaching of music throughout the school
· To prepare pupils as appropriate for instrumental and music theory examinations
· To assist in the preparation of pupils attempting music scholarships
· To assist with music concerts throughout the academic year and to prepare pupils for Music Assemblies as requested (approximately one a term)
· To ensure that appropriate Health and Safety and hygiene procedures are implemented
· To understand Safeguarding Children and report any concerns or observations to the Designated Safeguarding Lead
This list of responsibilities is not exhaustive and the employee will be required to perform duties outside of this as operationally required and at the discretion of the Headmaster
