Littlegreen Academy is seeking to appoint a proactive, resilient, and creative Personal Development Assistant to join their pastoral team.

Littlegreen Academy is a SEMH for boys aged 7 – 16 years, a short drive from Horndean, Canfield and Rowlands Castle. Littlegreen became a member of Solent Academies Trust on 1st January 2019. Solent Academies Trust are an outstanding trust and learning community which includes Mary Rose Academy, Cliffdale Primary Academy and Redwood Park Academy. The Trust has a successful track record of developing and supporting staff to make sure you gain the skills and experience to enable our pupils to achieve great things.

We are looking for an individual who has knowledge of adverse childhood experiences and the effect this can have on them. You must be able to recognise the importance of removing barriers, working with pupils individually, outside of the classroom and providing supportive interventions in a calm, respectful and caring manner. You will be emotionally resilient, flexible, innovative, forward thinking and a team player with a good sense of humour.

You will want to build excellent relationships with our pupils, while being compassionate to their needs, with a desire understand them wholly.

The hours for this role are Monday – Wednesday 8.15am – 3.50pm, Thursday 8.15am – 3.20pm, fortnightly until 4.20pm for CPD sessions and 8.15am – 2.35pm on a Friday. You will work for 39 weeks of the year; however, you will be paid for 45.1 weeks. Your salary will be paid over 12 months of the year.

Littlegreen Academy is a special school for 81 boys aged 7-16 years who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. Many children also have a range of additional needs including Autism, ADHD, Attachment Disorders, Anxiety and Speech and Language delay.
