Side by Side is a special school, based in Hackney, supporting children with a range of disabilities. With the increase in the number of pupils, we are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Qualified Teacher to lead one of our SEN classes.  The pupils are working at P-Level. You will have experience teaching children with a range of complex special needs and be able to deliver exciting and engaging activities for the children. You must be a good communicator, able to lead the class, work flexibly and be able to manage and work together with our teaching assistants. 

You will have skills and understanding of a range of teaching and learning strategies to make a positive impact on the children’s progress. 

We also encourage teachers who have qualified outside the UK to apply for this position.

Side by Side Special School is a community school offering a unique environment for all its children.   It is located in the London Borough of Hackney primarily attracting local Hackney and Haringey families, although we welcome everyone irrespective of their location. The school has two distinct departments running under its Department for Education registration, with an integrated nursey till age 5 and our special school educating pupils from ages 5 till 19. The school actively encourages parents and the community to be fully involved in the school.
