Hours:  37 hours per week / Term Time only plus 5 days (39 weeks) / Permanent 

Tes is currently supporting a friendly and supportive secondary academy, based in Doncaster. The school is looking to add an SEN Coordinator to its progressive and supportive Special Needs and Inclusion Department ideally starting in May 2021.

The role will include supporting the SENCo to coordinate the delivery of SEN/D provision across the whole school including KS3 and GCSE students. You will be innovative and will lead the SEN provision of the whole school supporting all learners to achieve to the best of their abilities. You'll lead from the front and will manage a dedicated and multi-disciplined SEND team at the school.

“The successful applicant will provide administrative support for the SENCO and ensure tracking of interventions and PP spending across the Academy. To manage the daily deployment and performance of the Teaching Assistants to ensure effective and efficient use across the academy in order to support student needs. To provide an additional service for students in receipt of the pupil premium, complementing existing teacher and support staff provision, in order to help potential be realised.

Currently, results are on a 3-year upward trend, student numbers are on a 3-year upward trend and parental buy-in is the best it has ever been!   Staff morale is high (ask them), staff CPD is targeted to meet the academy’s needs whilst catering for teacher professional development. As part of a trust, career opportunities and the sharing of best practice is widespread – support is always at hand. "

• progression support throughout the school and wider group

• the chance to take on further responsibility such as TLR or Leadership roles in the future.

• experience of delivering SEN/D coordination across whole school supporting KS3, GCSE and A-level learners

• a love and passion for education.
