SEN English Teacher

Compass Education are recruiting qualified English teachers with SEN experience to work at CCS Aylward Park in Leiston, Suffolk (IP16 4AX). We support children aged 11-16 who have special needs including SEMH and ASD. The school has the capacity for up to 12 pupils, providing an excellent secondary education and emotional support.

As a Compass Community School, Aylward Park provides full time education for children in the care system, offering support in small groups and on a 1-1 education basis. We are looking for candidates with an understanding of SEN, who are dynamic and proactive, with strong behaviour management, having had previous experience of working with pupils with challenging behaviour or complex needs that are a barrier to learning in a mainstream school or alternative provision.

Job Description – SEN English Teacher

· SEN English Teacher

· Teaching English to Secondary School pupils aged 11-16

· Working with children who have complex needs

· To deliver challenging and creative English lessons

· Independent pay scale - £26,000 - £40,000

Person Specification – SEN English Teacher

· Must have UK QTS

· Experienced SEN teachers only, at least 2 years

· Excellent subject knowledge including SEN

· You will need to have a proven track record of delivering high quality lessons

· Passionate, positive and team player required

· Confident and strong classroom management skills
