SEN/ Learning Enhancement Tutor (Temporary)

Malvern College is a leading independent school for girls and boys aged 13 to 18. It is a vibrant hub of activity where pupils participate in an enormous range of co-curricular activities that support and inform their individual academic programmes.

The Learning Enhancement department offers individual private tuition with qualified specialist teachers to pupils with a diagnosed Specific Learning Difficulty (SpLD) such as dyslexia or dyspraxia and provides Study Skills enhancement for pupils who need help with essay writing and planning, organisation, time management or with any other aspect of their academic work across the curriculum. Preliminary diagnostic assessment is also undertaken. The department is housed in its own building, South Lodge, on the main campus and has several classrooms for teaching and supervised study. 

The successful applicant will have QTS, and experience of teaching and would be comfortable in supporting pupils with SEN profiles between the ages of 13 and 18 years. The appointment will ideally be from September 2022. It will initially be a temporary appointment until the end of the Summer Term 2023.
