We seek a SEN LSA to work 1-2-1 with a child with learning delay to join our friendly team starting in October. The role is to support a child in Year 3.
With prior experience of working with children (although not necessarily SEN), required attributes are excellent numeracy and literacy, a good general education, resilience, enthusiasm and a team player.
The successful candidate will:
- Have good initiative and independence, able to work as part of a team or on their own
- Have a determination to make a difference to the pupil’s progress and development
- Be able to facilitate small group interventions and motivate and encourage children
- Have excellent interpersonal skills
- Have good English and Maths skills/knowledge (GCSE Equivalent)
- High expectations of themselves and the children they work with including promoting independence where possible
The hours are 33.75 hours/week, term time only (39 weeks), Monday to Friday 8.30 to 3.45pm. The salary is Surrey Pay P3 FTE £17,316 – £18,242 (actual £13,838-£14,579). This is a fixed term contract due to SEN funding.
