Our school is a specialist provider for children with special educational needs aged 2 - 19. Children who attend this school will usually have a Statement of Educational Need or an Education, Health and Care Plan.We cater for students with complex learning needs, students with autistic spectrum conditions and others with identified social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Beaumont Hill is an exciting and dynamic school in which there are opportunities for every child to succeed in their own way. We offer a curriculum that meets the very diverse needs of all our learners, while providing opportunities for inclusive activities and enhanced social experiences. The large staff group includes teachers, teaching assistants, Speech & Language Therapists, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists and Family Support Workers.

Together, this multi -disciplinary team work to combine the educational, health and care needs so that each and every child has a distinctive programme designed to help them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential.

Our skilled staff offer different curriculum provision, expert teaching and support to children of all abilities. Their knowledge and understanding of the special needs of each child ensures that every child can succeed.

Located at the centre of the Education Village this school is unique in giving children the opportunity for inclusion and to eat, play and learn alongside their mainstream peers. With specialist facilities such as the hydro and swimming pools, performance theatres and immersive theatres children have a huge range of opportunities to learn in a range of ways in a range of settings.

We are also fortunate to have a team of outdoor education staff who enable our students to access the community, the local area, and residential trips. Sport, music and the arts are an important part of our school. Alongside the curriculum we offer many opportunities for children to take part in lunch and after school clubs such as kayaking, swimming, choir, cookery, sensory and film clubs.

In Beaumont Hill Academy we want to recognise and celebrate achievement of all types: academic, social skill development, attendance, confidence, communication amongst many others. Here we use praise and encouragement to support our pupils to achieve to their highest possible potential in everything that they do.

Our students tell us, through surveys, that they enjoy coming to school and we want parents to feel as welcome here too. There are many opportunities to meet with staff formally and we encourage parents to come into school for our special events throughout the year. Please enjoy looking at the information on our website and feel free to contact the school if you require any further information.
