The candidate you want
The successful candidate will have the following key competencies:
- Excellent classroom practitioner with a wide range of teaching skills: knowledge and understanding of teaching SEN from P-Level upwards, knowledge of TEACCH / PECS is desirable;
- High level inter-personal skills enabling effective collaborative working;
- To be able to use classroom and behaviour management techniques effectively;
- Ability to analyze class data and information, identify patterns and trends;
- Ability to work collaboratively with and implement the advice of specialists working within the school (e.g. Speech and Language therapists) in their own classroom.
Applications from secondary mainstream teachers eager to extend their SEN experience are welcome and will be supported by a comprehensive induction and training program.
