Kingsbury Green is a community school for children aged 3– 11. We serve a diverse, multi-cultural community, valuing the richness our local area brings to the school. At Kingsbury Green Primary School, the Total Communication Base (TCB) for hearing impaired/ deaf children is an additionally resourced provision with 18 full time places. The TCB meets the needs of deaf children through the whole primary phase in the Early Years Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. Children are taught in the TCB for half a day and receive specialist teaching by qualified Teachers of the Deaf to develop reading, writing and mathematics. We are looking to appoint a highly effective teacher to

  • Inspire learning in our children across THE WHOLE curriculum
  • Work co-operatively across their year and the wider school team
  • To demonstrate outstanding skills in assessment of learning and the skills to create the learning journeys children need
  • Influence and inspire colleagues to be highly effective
  • Become an effective member of the TCB (Total Communication Base) team in teaching and support, ensuring the highest possible standards are achieved, children are motivated, inspired and happy learners and help to ensure the TCB operates together as an effective team with consistent practice.
  • Help TCB colleagues to ensure Deaf Awareness remains as a strength across the whole school

We need genuine collaborators, with the interests and skills to develop greatness in themselves and others. You will collaborate in year teams, faculties and through your coaching relationships.

You will be able to develop an innovative curriculum rooted in relevant and real world issues.

You will be confident to manage complex pastoral matters working actively with families.
