We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, passionate teacher to join our SEND department at Saffron Walden County High School. As an ever expanding and diverse department, we are seeking new ways to meet the needs of our learners.
We wish to appoint a qualified teacher, Primary or Secondary, to teach English and Maths to our year 7 and 8 pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans, in a small group setting. You will also teach pupils in Key Stage 4 who require an alternative to the GCSE curriculum, such as ASDAN courses. These will cover a variety of subject areas and again focus on SEN pupils with EHCPs. Other responsibilities will include social skills groups and 1-2-1 intervention work surrounding literacy and numeracy. Key Stage 2 experience would be preferable but not essential.
You will work with pupils with a wide range of needs including:
· sensory impairments (i.e. hearing or visual)
· speech, language and communication difficulties
· physical disabilities
· social, emotional and mental health needs
