The role

Smart Teachers is seeking to appoint a SEN Teaching Assistant to work with a Key Stage 2 student on a one-to-one basis in an independent school. The successful candidate will have experience working with children who have special educational needs, social and emotional needs and be able to tailor work for the student as required. The SEN Teaching Assistant role is part time, 5 mornings per week or 3 full days each week. The SEN Teaching Assistant role would start immediately for the right candidate and there is the likelihood that the role will continue for the 2021/2022 academic year. The school is a mainstream Independent School in the London Borough of Camden. It is located in Zone 2 with good transport links to Central London. 

Requirements

To be considered for the SEN Teaching Assistant position, you will:

• Have experience working as a Teaching Assistant with students who have special educational needs. 

• It would be desirable, but not essential to hold a Psychology Degree and an interest in Educational Psychology.
