Smart Teachers is recruiting for a motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a ‘Good’ one – form entry Primary School in the London Borough of Hackney. This full time position is available from January 2020. The school pride itself on working towards promoting equality within a diverse society, cultures and achievements are always celebrated amongst students and parents. The school can offer a supportive and stimulating environment whereby career progression is encouraged.  This is a great opportunity for an outstanding practitioner to join a forward thinking team. The successful candidate will be working with a student diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ADS), who displays difficulties with speech and written communication. The SEN Teaching Assistant will need show patience, passion and dedication to ensuring the student gets required support. The school is very creative and the children actively participate in music, drama and arts.

In order to be considered for this role, the SEN Teaching Assistant will need to meet the following criteria:

• SEN experience

• Have strong communication, literacy and numeracy skills

• Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa)

• Recent classroom-based references and valid DBS/police checks
