SEN Teaching Assistant

Required for September 2022

Salary range Grade D (£23,817- £25,128 pro rata) Term time only (40 weeks)

32.5 hours/wk (Mon-Fri 8:30-3:30)

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant who would like to work with primary aged children in our friendly and happy school. You will support children with EHCPs (Education Health Care Plan) in the classroom. You will be flexible and willing to work within the foundation and primary age range. We are looking for someone who is patient, able to implement school strategies and deal with occurrences of challenging behaviour. You will need to be able to work well as part of a supportive team and take direction from the class teacher, use your own initiative and build a strong relationship with the children. Experience of working with children with autism / ADHD would be an advantage although training will be provided for the successful candidate.
