SEN Teaching Assistant - Newcastle-Under-Lyme

ABC Teachers part of TES are currently looking to recruit a confident Teaching Assistant for an ongoing role in a Special Educational Needs school located in the Newcastle-Under-Lyme area. This will be a full-time role starting as soon as possible. 

The students you will be working with in this school are of 3 to 19 years of age and have varying special educational needs, these being mainly Autism and Moderate learning difficulties. Due to this we are looking for an individual who has experience working with children who have learning difficulties, and are confident in their ability in this area, with exceptional communication skills. 

You will be working alongside the class teacher to assist them with tasks throughout the school day, as well as work with some students both 1:1 and in small groups in order to target individual learning and support the students in the best way possible. 

The ideal candidate –

·         Level 2 TA qualification

·         Deliver quality assistance to teacher(s) and pupil(s)

·         Build rapport with the children

·         In date DBS & on the Update Service  

·         Be eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa is applicable)

·         Have previous experience within an SEN setting

Candidates will be required to attend a face to face interview to register; we will need to gain two references either academic or professional and hold an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau disclosure (or be prepared to allow us to process one for you).
