Smart Teachers is recruiting for a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant / SEN TA to work in a friendly, ‘Good’ one form entry primary school in Shepherds Bush (W12), central London. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant / SEN TA will be working 1:1 with a child in KS1 who has been diagnosed with ASD. Starting after October half term this is a full time, long term position for the academic year, with the potential to go permanent.

  • Working alongside the KS1 teacher and SENCO
  • Fixed term contract until end of the 2016/2017 academic year
  • Daily rate up to £75

In order to be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Experience working with SEN/ASD (Desirable)
  • Hold either a minimum Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in either education or childcare (desirable)
  • Have proven experience working within nurseries or schools in a UK-based classroom
  • NQT, experienced UK and/or OS-trained teachers welcome to apply
  • Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa)
  • Recent classroom-based references and valid DBS/police checks
