ABC Teachers are currently recruiting for an passionate SEND Teaching Assistant who has a passion for helping children and young adults with SEND within specialist settings around the Shropshire area.
The role
• Long term and shorter term roles, available with flexible hours and work pattern to suit your commitments
• Creating nurturing and supportive environment for students to thrive in
• Assisting the class teacher
• Working 1:1 and in small groups, involving behaviour management

Requirements
To be considered for the SEND Teaching Assistant position, you will:
• Have recent experience working with students with a range of special educational needs
• Have suitable qualifications to work with young people and support students with SEND, this is not essential but desirable
• Have strong communication skills with the ability to quickly build a rapport with students and staff alike
• Be able to successfully work as part of a team and be confident to work independently and deal with occasional behavioural challenges.

All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position is recent experience working within an SEND environment.
