Job overview

We are currently looking to recruit an outstanding Special Educational needs Teaching Assistant for an SEN school located in Solihull. This Primary school caters for students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties, 3 to 11 years of age. You will be expected to work with students who display sometimes challenging behaviour; you will need to be confident in your behavioural management, ensuring that you can remain calm.

This role will begin as soon as possible and end in March, we are ideally looking for someone who displays positivity and a calming nature. You will be expected to work with students on a 1:1 basis and with small groups of children. 

The ideal candidate –

·  Level 2 TA qualification

·  Deliver quality assistance to teacher(s) and pupil(s)

· Build rapport with the children

· In date DBS & on the Update Service  

Candidates will be required to attend a face to face interview to register; we will need to gain two references either academic or professional and hold an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau disclosure (or be prepared to allow us to process one for you).
