ABC Teachers are actively recruiting for a Special Education Needs Teaching Assistants to join a lovely special school based in the Stoke-on-Trent area, on an ongoing, full time basis.
The special school provides education for students aged between 7 and 19 years and covers a range of needs including Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Moderate Learning Difficulties and social emotional and mental health (SEMH). The school provides an alternative provision and level of care for those students who cannot thrive in a mainstream school; thus progressing each pupil towards the skills, knowledge and confidence to ultimately succeed in employment and creating independent lives.
The school are looking for an additional Teaching Assistant for both sectors of the school; Primary and Secondary.
All applicants must:
-Have strong behaviour management and knowledge of Special Educational Needs
-Have previous and successful experience within a similar area
-The ability and confidence to provide pupils with a positive atmosphere
-Be passionate and committed
We must be able to obtain references of similar previous employment to be able to consider you for this role.
What to do next:
To be considered for this position you will be required to attend a face to face registration and hold an enhanced DBS check in Child and Adult Workforce; you will need to pay for this upfront. At the registration we will discuss in more detail the work that you are looking for, your experience to date, and also how we are going to work best for you.
We will need to gain references to cover the last 2 years, and a minimum of 2 references must be a school based. Our compliance team have a rigorous safeguarding and clearance process and this is how we know we are working with the best possible team of staff to employ in our schools.
