ABC Teacher part of TES are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant for a role in a Special Educational Needs school in the Stoke-On-Trent area. We have both full and part time roles available in this area, both ongoing and starting as soon as possible.
This school caters for students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health problems as well as challenging behaviour. The ideal candidate will have experience working within an SEN setting with proven experience working with children with learning difficulties.
You will be working with mainly KS3, supporting students both 1:1 and in small groups in order to aid individual learning, as well as working alongside the class teacher to help with daily running of the classroom and any tasks given to you. You will be working in a friendly school environment where you will be supported by experienced members of staff.
The ideal candidate –
· Level 2 TA qualification
· Deliver quality assistance to teacher(s) and pupil(s)
· Build rapport with the children
· In date DBS & on the Update Service
· Be eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa is applicable)
· Have previous experience within an SEN setting
Candidates will be required to attend a face to face interview to register; we will need to gain two references either academic or professional and hold an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau disclosure (or be prepared to allow us to process one for you).
