Smart Teachers is recruiting bright and passionate SEN Teaching Assistants or graduates who have experience supporting SEN children. There are 3 SEN Teaching Assistant positions available as full-time, ongoing contracts. The roles will include supporting pupils 1:1 as well as in groups. The school have an Autism unit on site and you will be able to access this amazing facility with the pupils you will be working with at times. As an SEN Teaching Assistant within this school, you must possess a real understanding of, and passion for special educational needs and the importance for inclusion within the modern primary school curriculum. 

About the Role

· SEN Teaching Assistants (3 positions available)

· September 2017 start

· Working 1:1 with certain pupils through their academic work 

· Working within the unit with various Special Needs

· Occasionally you will work with larger groups of pupils or within the classroom as the main assistant

· Temp to perm (the position will be made permanent if successful in the role)

· £70-£80 per day during term time

In order to be considered for this role, the SEN Teaching Assistants will need to meet the following criteria:

· SEN experience desirable 

· Degree would be desirable but not essential

· Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa)

· Relevant childcare/SEN based references and valid DBS/police checks

· Available to start in September/ October
