Job overview

We are seeking to employ two experienced SEND Teaching Assistants. Knowledge of special educational needs and experience in supporting children with the national curriculum in a mixed aged classes is essential. Pupils in Connect range from Years 7 to 11, some of whom are working at Key Stage 1 and 2.

Connect at Heathfield Knoll School is a specialist base that blends mainstream education with SEND provision. We aim to foster resilience and independence. Part of this resilience is focused on supporting emotional regulation and providing strategies to support anxiety. We operate a two stream curriculum which combines the academic curriculum, in line with the main school, and a holistic, tailored approach in order to meet the SEND needs of the pupils. All pupils in Connect have an EHC plan.

A commitment to before OR after school care and a proportion of holiday club is also expected.
