South Hampstead High School, the 2022 Independent Girls’ School of the Year, has the exciting opportunity for an experienced and inclusive teacher to join their team as SENCO. 

As the SENCO, you will work closely with both the Leadership Team and external services/specialists, in managing the school’s systems for Special Educational and Additional Learning Needs. You will oversee the function of the Learning Support Department, supporting staff in their awareness and understanding of student needs, and developing inclusive approaches to teaching and learning.

Teaching experience is essential to the role, as well as an understanding of the statutory frameworks which apply to Special Educational Needs. Excellent professional knowledge on meeting the Special Educational Needs of students is essential, particularly understanding those with Specific Learning Difficulties and Social, Emotional and Mental Health.
