Job overview

Pinkwell Primary School is a popular, ambitious and increasingly successful school, with a

Nursery. Our school serves a richly diverse area, with many ethnic groups and languages

represented. We are very much a community school at the heart of a local neighbourhood,

and we provide a haven in which our children feel safe, valued and happy. Each child at

Pinkwell is special and we do our utmost to ensure that each student is given every

opportunity to learn and succeed.

The governors of Pinkwell wish to appoint a highly motivated and inspiring candidate to

effectively enhance the SEND provision across the school. Working closely with the

Inclusion Leader, the successful candidate will have strategic responsibility for pupils with

special educational needs. We are looking to appoint someone with experience of working

with students with a range of additional needs with a knowledge of the SEND agenda. The

Learning Support Team is committed to providing high quality teaching and learning for all

students and the post represents an ideal opportunity to work in a happy, friendly, positive

environment and in a team, which has a good reputation.

You will hold the National SENCO qualification or be working towards completing the

qualification. You will be able to effectively lead and manage the team and work closely with

parent/carers and professionals.
