Daubeney and Sebright Federation are seeking to recruit a SENCo.
Primarily to be based at Daubeney , our three form entry school. This position is full time and non-class based.

This position provides an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to lead the schools provision for students with special educational needs and for disabilities.

The SENCo will be a member of our middle leadership team. The school welcomes applications from both experienced SENCos and those wishing to specialise in this area.
 
We have high expectations and offer a warm and supportive environment to our staff. We believe that the staff are our most valuable resource and look after them well.

We like to develop our teachers in a learning community across our schools and offer high quality training to all of our staff.

You will need to demonstrate:

  • A thorough knowledge of the SEND code of practice
  • Outstanding teaching, organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to work as part of a team
  • An ability to coach, mentor and lead others
  • Skills in working with  range of different abilities and needs
  • The ability to liaise with external agencies and parents
  • Understand that learning can be fun
