The Trustees, staff and pupils of Furness Primary School are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and outstanding SENCO to effectively lead and mange SEND provision across the whole school.
The post holder will also be part of the Senior Leadership Team.
The Person:
- Will hold the National Award for SEN Co-ordination (or be prepared to complete it within 1 year of appointment)
- Will have a proven record of working in a SENCO role within a diverse primary school setting.
- Will have experience of and the ability to plan and evaluate interventions in order to gain the best outcomes for our SEN pupils.
- Will have effective communication and interpersonal skills and experience of dealing with external agencies in securing the best SEN provision available for our pupils.
- Will be a strong team player and leader.
- Expects the highest possible standards from all pupils, staff and members of the wider school community.
- Will have a professional outlook and thrive on a challenge.
- Is committed to and passionate about developing children’s learning.
