Do you have the passion and motivation to inspire young people?

Do you have the ability to deliver high-quality learning experiences?

Do you want to be part of a school that is delivering on its promise to secure high examination outcomes for its students?

If so, then you may be interested in undertaking a maternity cover as our Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo).

Why come to Latimer?

This is a fantastic school to work in: on interview we ask candidates for their impressions of the College and without fail they comment on how wonderful our students are, the positive team ethos amongst staff and how friendly and welcoming the College is.

We care passionately about our staff, their wellbeing and their professional development: we are a happy team, committed to working collaboratively and sharing the very best practice. This was reflected in our recent Ofsted Inspection letter, ‘where the strengths and talents of students and staff are extremely valued.’

We are a tight-knit unit striving for the very best for our students and we are focused on and passionate about learning.

The person appointed will be an outstanding and ambitious leader, who is passionate about teaching and learning. Ideally, they will have prior experience and expertise in the teaching of special educational needs and experience of leadership in this area. We are looking for a candidate who will continue to drive forward standards during the period of the maternity cover.

The successful applicant will be joining a good school at a time when we are the best that we have ever been – and we are going to be even better!

Our current SENCo works part-time (0.6 FTE). We would be happy to negotiate full or part-time hours with a suitable candidate.

For an application form and further details, please contact Ms Ridley, Principal’s PA, on 01536 720310 or email

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.
