SENCO Position August 2023

Newton British School, Al Waab was established in 2008 and is an international school following the English National Curriculum that is broad and balanced, providing our children with a diverse range of opportunities where they can deepen their knowledge, skills and understanding. The school is part of the larger Newton Group that was established in 2006 and is now a leading group of private schools in Qatar, comprising many international schools that offer the English National Curriculum.

In November 2021, we were accredited for 3 years by the Qatar National School Accreditation Team (QNSA). This was followed in May 2022 by successfully meeting the UK Government Department for Education's standards for British Schools Overseas (BSO).

The Role 

Newton British School, Al Waab is looking for a SENCO to join our diverse community.

What we are looking for?

We are looking for dynamic and creative practitioners who are confident when working with children with additional needs and associated schemes and resources. We are looking for candidates who can employ a range of strategies to provide high-quality support for our children.

The ideal candidate should have experience working with children with additional needs and display a high standard of written and spoken English. They must be willing to contribute to all aspects of the school vision, mission and values.   

Experienced teachers with qualifications and experience working with children with additional needs.  

Working knowledge of British Curriculum desired but not essential

Bachelor Degree in Education or equivalent
