A brilliant opportunity for a full-time SENCO has become available in our diverse and expanding school located in a vibrant and popular area of Tooting. We wish to appoint a dedicated, inspirational and experienced SENCO who understand the value of providing our pupils with a broad educational experience, where high academic standards are supported by a rich variety of extended curriculum opportunities.

The Special Educational Needs (SEN) provision within our school is already well-established and we looking for this to continue and add to the effective leadership of SEN support throughout the school in a non-class based role

Our children and school community are looking forward to receiving applications from those who must be:

  • qualified teachers who hold the SENCO accreditation
  • able to design, deliver and monitor programmes of interventions that result in marked progress for students with a range of additional learning needs and/or disabilities
  • able to show a clear understanding of being committed to inclusion and to build positive relationships with parents and carers
  • experienced in teaching students with SEND and have proven working knowledge of the new Special Educational Needs Code of Practice
  • able to confidently work with a range of school based and external partners
  • organised, able to manage your workload, prioritise and plan strategically
  • enthusiastic, confident and be able to motivate others and be a proactive team player
  • able to demonstrate that you are passionate about providing positive learning experiences alongside high expectations for all children.
  • experienced in the line management of teaching support staff and have excellent communication skills
