Job overview
Harrow College is a highly successful Further Education College with an excellent reputation for providing a wide range of support for students. We are seeking an experienced and pro-active individual who will be responsible for ensuring support is provided for learners with High Needs and Low Level SEN needs. Working closely young people, their parents/carers, Local Authorities, parents and carers, you will interview and assess students with disabilities and health needs, create Individual Support Plans, co-ordinate the allocation of support, chair Annual Reviews and ensure all administration is completed to ensure the timescales of the Local Authority timescales are met. You will also line manage a team of Learning Support staff.
You will need to have a good standard of education with a specialist qualification in aspects of SEN including ASD and SPLD. You will need to possess at least 5 years’ experience in SEN within a Secondary or FE setting, with experience of management of provision and experience of working collaboratively with parents, colleagues and external organisations. A confident communicator with strong organisational skills, you should also have good leadership skills with experience of managing or supervising a team.
