Job overview

SEND Co-ordinator

In their most recent report, Ofsted described our standards as ‘high’, and said that ‘relationships between pupils and teachers are typically strong and pupils trust teachers to help them improve their work’. Inspectors noted that ‘staff are proud to be part of the school community’ and ‘they are highly motivated because they feel valued’

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an environment where students’ behaviour is impeccable, where they treat each other and staff with real respect, have a genuine enjoyment of school and enjoy their learning.  The Academy is on the road to outstanding and has a relentless drive and determination to ensure the best possible education for students in our care.

We are looking to recruit an SEND Co-ordinator to lead a team of staff who work with children on the SEND and EAL register and other agencies to provide support to these children. The role will involve work with a range of pupils.

We are looking for a dedicated individual who will have the ability to build positive relationships with young people who require assistance in overcoming barriers to learning in order to achieve their full potential. A SENDCO qualification is preferable, however we would welcome applications from candidates willing and able to work towards qualification.
