Granta School is a highly successful, popular Community Area Special School, catering for pupils aged 3 to 19 years old. We currently have 180 children on roll and we are extremely proud of our team who continually work towards providing our students with the best possible learning outcomes.
We are now looking for a full-time Higher Level Teaching Assistant to cover teacher PPA. This role will additionally involve providing ad hoc cover across the school, as directed by the Senior Leadership Team, in order to facilitate training, meetings and outreach work, and to cover last minute absence where necessary.
Resilience, patience, flexibility and positivity are key to the role, as well as organisation and clear communication.
Applications are invited from highly experienced teaching assistants who are passionate about working with children and young people with a wide and diverse range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. The HLTA (or an equivalent Level 4 qualification) is desirable but not required. In return we offer a comprehensive training package and professional development.
To apply, please complete the application form and include a supporting statement that refers to your experience to date and how you meet the job description. This should be no longer than 2 A4 sides of size 12 font.
For more information or to arrange a visit, please contact Nikki Green on assistantfinance@granta.cambs.sch.uk or telephone the school on 01223 896890
The deadline for this application is midday (12pm) on Friday 17th June.
Interviews and observations will be held as applications are received, therefore we reserve the right to bring forward the deadline should we successfully recruit. Early application is therefore recommended.
