SEND Learning Mentor
£60-£65 a day
Vision for Education are looking to appoint an SEND Learning Mentor to join our successful supply team and work in a local school alongside a Year 8 Looked After Child. The role will commence from September 4th 2019.
Working as part of a dynamic and creative team, the SEND Learning Mentor will focus on providing support and assistance for a Year 8 girl who is a Looked After Child. The child is extremely vulnerable, and would need pastoral assistance as well as general classroom support.
To be considered for the SEND Learning Mentor position, you will:
- Have experience of working as a Teacher/Teaching Assistant/Learning Mentor in a school environment.
- Be experienced in working with smaller nurture groups or 1:1 settings to boost attainment.
- Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff.
- Have a fun and friendly approach inside and outside the classroom.
