Job overview

The Special Educational Needs (SEN) Team are seeking to recruit a further SEND Monitoring Officer. The SEND Monitoring Team is a new team who will be responsible for statutory requirements relating to annual reviews for students with Education, Health and Care Plans. A key element of these roles will be to provide oversight and ensure efficient use of resources and outcomes for children and young people with SEND.

You will be expected to provide rigorous scrutiny and challenge to ensure High Needs Funding is appropriately used in schools, colleges and other providers, whilst ensuring the best outcomes for students are in place and evident.
We are seeking a highly motivated, committed and skilled person with a high level of oral and written communication skills, and experience of working with children and young people with special educational needs, schools and other professionals.

Experience of working at a senior leadership level within a school, or experience of commissioning services is desirable.
