We are seeking a SEND Personal & Social Development / Re-engagement Assessor to work with young people who require positive behaviour management, engagement activities and to work collaboratively with tutors across the college to develop individualised programmes of study.
This will provided across all college sites to engage and progress young people, empowering and engaging learners to set realistic targets, plan for their next steps and develop strategies that emphasise their strengths and breaking down barriers to engagement, preparing them to move seamlessly into the adult world which addresses their individual needs, aspirations and vocational focus.
Delivery may be achieved through a full and varied range of teaching and assessing techniques including groups and on a 1:1 basis all of which may be assessed through experiences at college through qualifications or the RARPA framework.
An understanding, working knowledge and previous experience of working with learners with SEND and/or barriers to learning is crucial.
