Vision for Education is currently seeking a full time SEND Support Assistant to work in a school in the Sunderland local authority. The school caters for children and young people who have Autism (ASC) and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).
The role
Working as part of a hardworking and dedicated team, the successful SEND Support Assistant will focus on delivering support to young people with ASC and MLD.
This position will be 5 days a week, working 08:30 – 15:30, Monday to Friday.
Requirements
To be considered for the SEND Learning Support Assistant position, you will:
- Have experience supporting children in small groups and/or 1:1.
- Have experience working with children with Autism, MLD, SLD, PLMD and other complex needs.
- Ideally, have a DBS on the Update Service.
- Have a patient and caring nature.
- Be available to work between Monday and Friday 08:30 – 15:30pm.
