Vision for Education are actively recruiting for an experienced SEND Teacher to work with Post 16 students who have varying complex learning and behavioural needs. This role is teach Life Skills / PSHE and also Physical Education.
Students have varying levels of mental and physical abilities and have been statemented as having Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) as well as other difficulties that effect learning.
This is a long term / full time vacancy that is to commence in September 2017 and has a high chance of turning permanent if all targets are met.
Personality and creativity are required attributes whilst maintaining a calm, patient, empathetic but resilient manor is also necessary to achieve progress with the students.
- Applicants must hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
- Applicants must hold or be willing to process a current DBS (Children and Vulnerable Adults) and it be registered on the online update service.
- Applicants must be available 5 days a week and be able to work in the Gateshead area.
- Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK and meet all national safeguarding criteria.
