Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are having a minimum of 6 weeks relevant experience. 

Vision for Education are currently seeking SEND Teaching Assistant / SEN TA to work in a primary setting in Bristol. Our client school have a number of roles however they are seeking an individual with SEND experience, and experience of working with children with hearing impediments for a long-term position. 

The School

This is a large inner city primary school with a wide and diverse catchment. Having an excellent reputation and great staff retention, they are seeking a confident, personable, and calm SEND Teaching Assistant / SEN TA. Experience working within a SEND school or with children/young people with moderate learning disabilities of some sort AND working with children with hearing impediments is advantageous for this role. 


The role

The role is for an SEND Teaching Assistant / SEN TA to work 1:1 with a hearing impaired child in KS1 after Easter half-term. It is therefore essential that you have has a good level of BSL (British Sign Language) as well as experience in schools as you will be required to sign the learning to the child and support them with their work.


In this role is in a large Primary setting in Bristol and you will be working alongside the class teacher, and SENDCo. The ideal candidate should have the following: 

• Have a desire to work with children with SEND 

• Ideally have BSL Level 2 certificate

• Have a minimum of 6 weeks relevant experience

• Have a patient and caring nature.
